Investing In Growth: The Impact Of Level 2 Fencing Diplomas On Your Workforce

An Instructor checking a fence a student worked on in their level 2 diploma in fencing.

The Level 2 Diploma (NVQ) In Work-Based Fencing or General Fencing is the industry standard qualification for fencing professionals working on fencing installations. Completing the diploma qualifies fence installers to apply for the Blue FISS/CSCS Card, a requirement on most building sites and for many contracts. As well as giving them the practical skills to accomplish a range of fence installation tasks on site. With a blend of professionalism and tradesman banter with tricks of the trade, our assessors make this an enjoyable and beneficial experience for any fencer.

If you work in a job that requires regular manual handling, such as heavy lifting or repetitive physical movements, you may be concerned about potential risks at work. A manual handling course can help prevent workplace accidents and injury by training both.

Manual handling courses

If you are an employer and it is your responsibility to provide manual handling courses for staff and meet regulations, then you will need to find out how much manual handling training courses cost so that you can compare the options.

How Much Does A Manual Handling Course Cost?

The price you pay will depend on the level of the course, what the course covers and the training provider. FacT (Fencing and Construction Training) is an established delivery of manual handling courses and is one of the largest providers of training, advice and support to the UK’s construction and manufacturing sectors.

FaCT Manual Handling Course Cost

Classroom Course: £89.50 Per Person (Plus VAT)

The comprehensive classroom course covers manual handling hazards, risks and how they can lead to injury and harm, and controls for those risks. It outlines the law surrounding manual handling and requirements, in addition to how to carry out risk assessments and the benefits of doing so appropriately. Specific training will be given on lifting loads from low levels, lowering from a height, pushing and pulling freight, carrying techniques and more.

Our popular manual handling classroom course takes place in both Birmingham and Redditch.

Online Course: £75 Per Person (Plus VAT)

An online course allows workers to get the training they need whilst still being able to maintain social distancing. As well as the need for new regulations due to coronavirus, online learning is also a more convenient option for many people as it enables them to save money and time on commuting to a physical course location.

Click here to view our upcoming online course dates. The online course covers the same content as the classroom content and a live instructor will deliver the course in real-time, with presentations, images and videos.

In order to receive a certificate, a multiple-choice test will need to be answered correctly at the end of the day.

Company Based Group Bookings From £50 Per Person

Many companies prefer to book groups of staff onto courses at the same time, this not only allows for a collaborative learning experience between employees but it can also be more affordable, as some providers offer group booking discounts. Contact us today to find out about group booking at a reduced rate.
