The organisation and planning of training can be time consuming, confusing and costly to many fencing businesses. There are a whole range of training requirements for the fencing industry, from FISS/CSCS cards, plant and machinery training and certification to health and safety, diplomas and First Aid. Frequently asked questions include: What do we do? When? How? Where? and at What cost?
This is why FaCT offer two services to help companies overcome these challenges. Firstly the Training Analysis and Advice Service (TAA) and then the full Training Management Services (TMS) both will save the business time, effort and money.
“We have used the Training Management Service for the last two years and it has saved us thousands of pounds. They make sure we have the correct training at the right time and effectively record it. For me as a director it’s good to know that someone who understands all the training needs for the fencing industry is making sure we at Saferoad are doing it properly.”
Training Analysis and Advice (TAA)
What is TAA?
A halfway house towards the very successful training management services (TMS). The service will analyse the company’s workforce skills card (FISS/CSCS, CPCS) status and provide a report detailing this information. For 12 months the company will also receive free telephone advice relating to training and funding.
How does it work?
The company will complete a simple spreadsheet listing all their employees, their NI Number and/or CSCS Number and forward to FaCT. From this information the card status of the employees will be analysed. A report will be sent to the company detailing what training they “must do”, “should do”and “could do” over the next year. A quote for the cost of this training will also be provided. FaCT will follow up the report within two weeks to discuss and agree to undertake any training required. As a TAA contracted company a 5% training discount will be given up to the value of the TAA contract.
What will it cost?
For a 12 month contract the cost is only £10 per employee for non FCA members. Remember your 5% training discount could save you the cost of TAA contract.
Contact Tim to confirm cost and he will send you a blank spreadsheet for your completion.
