Funding for Fencing Training Courses –
Lantra Approved

If you’re thinking of a career in forestry or woodland management or want to build on your existing skills, Fencing and Construction Training can now offer a range of free practical courses to help you realise your ambition. FaCT is approved to deliver the Lantra Awards Fence and Gate Installation course. (options listed below) Our courses take place at our training centre in the Midlands or we can deliver the training at your venue if you have a group of candidates. and thanks to new Government funding the cost of the course will be provided to you entirely free of charge, as part of a new Forestry Training Fund.

The government has reopened their grant funding offering 100% funding for eligible courses and expect grants to be in the range of £150 – £3,000. Funding will be paid directly to the training provider.   Please get in touch now by emailing FaCT to find out more, or visit Forestry Grant for more information.

FaCT are planning the first programme of courses in September so get in contact quickly to reserve your spaces.

The government has committed to increasing tree-planting across the UK to 30,000 hectares a year by the end of Parliament to reach net zero emissions by 2050. The short, practical training courses will be paid for by a £700,000 allocation from the £750m Nature for Climate Fund, and will help grow the forestry sector so that we have enough people with the right skills to plan, plant, and manage new woodlands.
