Who’s the Course For?
This course is for anyone who works in the fencing and construction industry. This training is a requirement for anyone who needs to gain a CSCS or FISS/CSCS labourers card or to renew a blue FISS/CSCS card
Course Duration
Full day, with a multiple-choice test at the end.

This course is delivered in three different ways.
– Online via our live online learning platform
– At our training centre in the Midlands
– At your venue anywhere in the UK.
Assessment and Certification
Candidates who successfully complete the course (interaction is required during the course delivery, including asking and answering questions) and pass the end of course assessment (40 multiple-choice questions) will gain a Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in the Construction Environment Certificate

The types of hazard/risk encountered in the workplace

Safe manual handling
Correct processes for moving and storing materials
Working at height
Personal Protective Equipment
Hazardous substances in the workplace
The hazards associated with drugs and alcohol in the workplace
The use and importance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
The hazards/risks related to the use of plant and equipment
Control measures to minimise hazards/risks relating to working around plant and equipment.
Additional information
This training course will prepare you to take the level 1 Award in Health and Safety assessment and also the CITB operatives touch screen health, safety and environmental test.
