Black Managers FISS/CSCS Cards

The Black FISS CSCS card is for the Fencing contract and senior managers.

This is the card construction sites and employers will require for fencing supervisors.

British Standards 1722, states that all supervisors should hold a Gold FISS/CS card.

It is a requirement under National Highways Sector Scheme 10B for all VRS managers to hold a Black FISS/CSCS card.

To gain a Black card you must

Hold the Level 5 Diploma in the Principles of Leadership and Management

Attend and pass a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course

and passing the Health, Safety and Environment test for managers (MAP)(touchscreen).

Card life span and renewal

The card is valid for 5 years, after which time to renew your card you must

Attend and pass a Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refreshers (SMSTS) course

and passing the Health, Safety and Environment test for managers (MAP) (touchscreen).

You do not need to redo your level 5 qualification, because that is valid for life
