CSCS Card Types
CSCS issues a number of Different card types for different occupations and qualifications within construction
Green – Labourer
Red – Apprentice, Trainee, Experienced Worker, Industry Placement
Blue – Skilled worker
Gold Advanced craft, supervisor
Black – Manager
White – Academically or Professionally qualified

To gain a CSCS card you must
Hold the appropriate level qualification for Blue, Gold, Black and White cards
Pass the appropriate level Health and Safety training for the level card you hold or wish to hold
Pass the Health, Safety and Environment Test for the level card required(touchscreen).
Card life span and renewal
All CSCS cards are valid for 5 years, (except temporary which is 6 months)after which time to renew your card you must
Pass the appropriate level Health, Safety and Environment test
You do not need to redo your qualifications, because that is valid for life
