The HSA training lasts for one-day and is designed for individuals who have or are soon to be joining the construction industry.
What are the benefits of the CITB one day Health and Safety Awareness course?
The programme is the initial phase of training for a green FISS CSCS or CSCS card. It is also the first course in the Site Safety Plus catalogue of courses.

Where can I take the CITB Health and Safety Awareness course?
We can deliver the one day Health and Safety Awareness programme in all areas of the UK. We have two training centres in the UK where, at both, we can deliver ‘all in one packages’, which include the touchscreen test (if applying for or renewing a FISS CSCS or CSCS card) one in Birmingham and one in Manchester. Both the Birmingham and Manchester training and test centre’s can host the touchscreen test. Get in touch to book or ask any questions!
How long is the HSA certification valid for?
The certification is valid for five years. Therefore, a course refresher is a requirement after this time. We can provide the refresher programme at our Birmingham and Manchester Venues and also in all areas of the UK.
How can I progress from the HSA course?
The course gives you an awareness of areas such as; on-site hazards and risks, and a basic understanding of roles and responsibilities concerning H&S. The natural progression would be to attend The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS). We can deliver the SSSTS programme at our Birmingham and Manchester venues and also in all areas of the UK.
What does the one day Health and Safety Awareness course involve?
