Emergency First Aid at Work Birmingham – We provide regular Emergency First Aid at Work courses in Birmingham. We can also deliver the training at your site if you’d prefer. Get in touch for details!

Who Needs the Emergency First Aid at Work Training?

The course is suitable for anyone training as a first aider at work. This training is the most common first aid course in the UK and teaches real life saving skills. The course is aimed at low risk industries where the first aider is responsible for less than 100 people.

Examples of these industries:

    • Gyms
    • Hotels
    • Retail

For more hazardous industries, such as construction, it is suggested that businesses have at least one person who has completed the extended 3-day First Aid at Work course. The Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day course is suitable for people in the more hazardous industries who will support a designated first aider who has completed the 3-day course.

Why?

The course is nationally recognised and meets the HSE requirements and guidelines. Accidents and sudden illnesses can happen and knowing how to respond could make a huge difference.

The Course Content

  • Understanding the role of a First Aider.
  • Recording incidents and the correlating actions.
  • How to administer first aid to a casualty.
  • Preventing cross infection.
  • Unconscious treatment (including seizure).
  • Appropriate first aid to minor injuries.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

The Certification

The certification is valid for 3 years. Therefore, to remain qualified, you will need to complete the course again. However, you can take a refresher whenever you feel it necessary.
