We can also provide vocational combination days where you can combine two of our half day courses into a one day training programme. Who needs the Asbestos Awareness Course?
This course details how to avoid asbestos and not how to work with it. Therefore, if your work requires you to deal directly with asbestos you will need additional training.

Why?
Asbestos is an extremely hazardous material that can have serious consequences for anyone exposed to it. In 2015, there were a reported 222 deaths related to asbestosis which is caused by asbestos. As conditions related to asbestos exposure take years to surface the current statistics are related to exposure in prior years. The course aims to reduce the risk of encountering asbestos in work activities.

The course will cover the following areas:
- When you can encounter asbestos and what materials are high risk.
- What asbestos is and how it can affect health.
- Safe practice and avoidance of asbestos.
- The emergency procedure if asbestos is encountered.

We can deliver the training as a face to face course or online using our bespoke online training system. We also offer combination days where you can combine two half-day course into one full day of training. This will save you money and minimise the time spent away from your work schedule.
