Abrasive Wheels Training Birmingham

Abrasive Wheels Training Birmingham – We hold regular courses at our Birmingham venue, we also hold courses at our training centre in Redditch which is just outside of Birmingham. We can also come out to your site, if you’d prefer, and deliver the training there.

The Course

The course is suitable for anyone who uses, fits or maintains abrasive wheels. For example, anyone who uses grinding equipment will benefit from the training. The course aims to improve safe practice whilst using the tools and reduce accidents related to bad practice.

The Content

The course is a mix of theory and practical training. The theoretical content is delivered by one of our trainers who then assesses the candidate using abrasive wheels during the practical session.

The course covers:

  • Any important legislation and legislation changes.
  • Fitting storing and maintaining abrasive wheels.
  • Hazards, testing and inspection.
  • Duties of the employer and the employee.
  • PPE requirements.

The course takes half a day to complete.

The Certificate

The certificate is valid for 3 years, so a refresher course is a requirement to remain certified. However, you can take the course whenever you want to remain competent and safe.

Combination Days

We also offer vocational combination days where you can combine two of our half day courses into one full days training. For example, you can take the abrasive wheels and CAT and Genny courses as a one-day training package. We understand that time is money, so we provide these packages to minimise the disruption to your business. Alongside this, the package deals also save you money.

We can provide this service at your site or at one of our venues, just get in touch for details!
