The Employability Programme

The Employability Programme

Currently no funding availible.

We are an approved provider of an employability programme for the unemployed in Birmingham. The government funded programme provides you with £1250 worth of training at no cost to yourself! The 2 week programme ultimately ends up with the successful candidate receiving a Green FISS CSCS card and a portfolio of training certificates such as ‘Abrasive Wheels’ and ‘Cat and Genny’.

The Green CSCS card is the ticket to work in the construction industry. All construction sites require a workers to hold a CSCS card. Furthermore, due to the additional training programmes you will stand out from the crowd and have extra qualifications to put on your CV.

Candidate Requirements

You must be claiming JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) or UC (Universal Credit). You will continue to receive your JSA or UC whilst attending the course. We have approval to deliver the programme to people from Birmingham and the surrounding areas. You must also hold a valid form of identification. You will also need to complete an interview before you can enrol on the programme.

Where is the course held?

We hold the course at our HQ in Northfield Birmingham. You will also attend our practical site on many of the days to complete your practical training. We will transport you there from our HQ. The course involves classroom learning and practical learning to ensure you get the most out of the course and practice what you learn. Your days will usually start at 09:00 and end around 16:30.
