On Site Abrasive Wheels Training

We recognise that many of you organisations out there are very busy. That is why we provide a mobile service that can come out to your site to deliver training. You can train in the comfort of your own premises and minimise travel and disruption to your work. This page details the ‘On Site Abrasive Wheels Training’.

Who needs Abrasive Wheels training?

The course is suitable for anyone who fits, installs or uses abrasive wheels. So this includes anyone who uses or maintains equipment such as; Angle Grinders, Cut Off Saws and Bench Top Cut-Off Saws.

Why?

A significant percentage of accidents involving abrasive wheels are caused by unsafe working practice. The course will provide the candidate with knowledge concerning safe working and how to recognise and reduce hazards and risks.

The Course

The Abrasive Wheels training does not require any prior knowledge or qualifications as it is an introductory course. Previous use of Abrasive Wheels would be advantageous but is not a requirement.

If you require training with a specific piece or pieces of equipment please specify.

Included in the course are the following areas:

  • Any important legislation.
  • Fitting storing and maintaining abrasive wheels.
  • Hazards, testing and inspection.
  • Duties of the employer and the employee.
  • PPE requirements.

Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an Abrasive Wheels certificate. The certification is valid for 3 years so will need to be renewed after expiry to stay certified. However, you can take the course as and when you require to ensure safe working practice.

Combination Days

We offer combination vocational days which we can deliver at your site or at one of our venues. This allows you to combine two half-day vocational courses (such as Abrasive Wheels and CAT & Genny) into one days training. We appreciate that you are busy, and time spent training is time spent away from work. We also appreciate that training is an expense to your organisation. Therefore, we offer this combination deal to minimise the disruption to your work and reduce the cost of training!

Give us a call on 0121 476 4731 to talk about the course

The course dates below are courses that are running at our venues.
