Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for Fencers

The Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for fencers course aims to tackle some of the health and safety issues in the industry. With accident and fatality rates falling in the industry we are clearly heading in the right direction. However, there is still work to do. In addition to the implementation of health and safety legislation, health and safety training is crucial in the effort to increase safety in the industry. Who is the Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for Fencers for? And how long is the course?

The Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for Fencers course is for anyone who is looking to join the fencing industry. Furthermore, it is for anyone who is new to the industry, or anyone who is currently working in the industry. The Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for Fencers training is a one day course.  It is the approved course needed by all fencers and labourers and a requirement for green and blue card renewals.


What are the benefits of taking the Health Safety and Environmental Awareness for Fencers course?

Firstly, the course will provide you with an understanding of health and safety regulations and how to comply with them. Secondly, you will be able to identify and avoid hazards that you may be exposed to whilst at work. You will also be able to understand how the work that you do impacts the environment. Furthermore, the course is a requirement for the FISS CSCS card applications.

The course will also benefit employers. Employers will ensure that their employees, practices and procedures are complying with health and safety legislation. Furthermore, employees will understand how to work safely. This will reduce the risk of accident and injury in a dangerous industry.

The Health Safety and Awareness for Fencers certification lasts for five years. However, for a FISS CSCS card application it must have been completed within two years.
